To mark the release of her new book, The Surgeon, The Midwife, The Quack: How to Stay Alive in Renaissance England, Alanna will be giving a talk at The Old Operating Theatre, the oldest surviving surgical operating theatre in Europe.
As well as hearing Alanna talk about some of the stories and physicians featured in the book, there'll be an opportunity to explore the museum and visit the Apothecary Bar. Alanna will also be signing books on the night.
The event takes place on 23 October, at The Old Operating Theatre, St Thomas Street, London SE1. Doors open at 5.45pm. Tickets are £12 and can be booked here.
